This place is loud. It seemed people were trying to talk above the music level.
The service is pretty good.
Unfortunately the menu didn’t lend well to my wife’s allergies so she ordered the MAINE SMASHED POTATOES 5/5. I ordered the BROKEN ARROW BURGER 4/5 (the pickles are too thick).
Good beer, wine, and craft cocktails.
I don’t often write reviews, but when I do, it’s probably bad. Honestly, if the food wasn’t seriously overpriced, I might have let it slide. But here I am having an allergic reaction to something that must have been in the food but was not listed on the menu. Allergies aside the food was so bad I’m actually impressed. One would have to try to make something so over-salted and underwhelming. Well played. I did enjoy the experience if only for all of the laughs that come with knowing you’re paying a month’s rent for food that tastes like “dirty dishwater.”
It had been a while since I was in Broken Arrow and happy to say the food is even better than before with their current chef. From new takes on old favorites (their tuna dish is really good!) to the newer additions such as the crab (with pasta) dish, deliciousness abounds. And their version of the ice cream sandwich was fantastic! As always; we enjoyed the warm greeting, service and atmosphere.
MY FAVORITE NEW SPOT! We did the 8 course menu in late Autumn and it exceeded my highest expectations. SUPER cozy ambience, excellent cocktails and very conscious on the Covid front. The food was excellent, awesome variety of fresh recipes and updates to classics. We ordered take out of the Winter menu and it was just as good. Looking forward to experiencing the full winter menu. What i like about Broken Arrow beyond the excellent food is the atmosphere is comfortable enough to just stop in for a drink as well. DO NOT HESITATE to book a meal here, you will not be disappointed. Inspiring to see a business open up after a year of saying goodbye to so many favorites. Really happy to have Broken Arrow to look forward to for years to come!
What a great experience! The flavor of the chef’s creations were a work of art as was the presentation. The atmosphere was warm and cozy with the charm of downtown brick and candle light. The owners welcomed us at the door and checked in to make sure everything was perfect. The music was fun, the drinks were unique and delicious and the wait staff couldn’t have been more attentive. We will definitely go back.
Flew in from England for our American New England road trip which took us to Portland. Stayed there on the Sunday/Monday of the last week of September 23. Found ourselves short of restaurant options as lots close on a sun/mon! Popped into Broken Arrow for a beer…. Such a vibe in there…. Excellent beer, amazing atmosphere and the music was very cool. Decided to stay for dinner as we were having g such a great time and were so pleased we did! Interesting bespoke menu, food outstanding (if a bit pricey)! But had a great evening for all these reasons and the service was excellent! Well worth the money!
I went here maybe 6-8 months ago and it was sooo incredible. Like top 3 in Portland in my book. I went back tonight and it was like a different place. Server and cook stood at the bar. My husband asked for no pickles on his burger (chefs doesn’t make modifications) so came with gigantic pickles that took over half the burger. 2 of us got the crab dish and it was flat our gross. What happened to this place? This bums me to write. But when you only have moments out in a town of amazing food I felt the need to share. Also it was empty. So maybe we were the last to know…
Amazing spot! We got the tasting menu with wine pairing. We’ve been to a few different tasting menus and this one was one of our favorites - you’ll love it 100%! Highly recommend.
